    Tullamore survive late rally from The Downs

    Despite conceding four goals - all of them preventable - and surviving a late rally inspired by The Downs' Luke Loughlin, Tullamore were very worthy winners of an entertaining Leinster senior football quarter-final in Mullingar.

    The Downs deservedly won their 11th Westmeath senior football title in dreadful conditions in Mullingar, regaining the crown after a three-year gap with a six-point win against Coralstown/Kinnegad.
